Epsom, Lavender, Chamomile Tub Tea

A standard bath is primarily for cleansing, but adding botanicals, salts, or essential oils transforms it into a therapeutic, infused treatment.

A Tub Tea involves brewing a strong herbal mixture in hot water, straining it, and pouring it into the bathwater to create a potent, nutrient-rich, and aromatic soak. The warm water opens the pores, allowing the therapeutic properties of herbs such as lavender and chamomile, and minerals such as Epsom salt, to be absorbed through the skin. Tub Tea infusions are used to relax muscles, reduce stress, detoxify the body, and soothe skin conditions.

Adding herbs directly to the bathwater may look beautiful and ethereal, but it can be difficult to drain the water without washing flowers down the drain, and the bathwater is likely not hot enough to sufficiently steep the herbs. Brewing a potent herbal infusion with boiling water and a sufficient steeping time is the best method for a therapeutic bath.

This Tub Tea combines soothing, aromatic lavender with calming, anti-inflammatory chamomile and hydrating, detoxifying Epsom salt for a ritual steeping in restorative care.

First brew the herbal tub tea, then run a hot bath, add epsom salt and herbal infusion to the tub, and soak for at least 15-20 minutes.
